Recite the Caring Citizen Declaration Every Day

abraham_lincoln_lg1.jpegCaring citizens have a high calling recognized in our Declaration of Independence and the words of President Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. Freedom over slavery and well-being over corporate servitude are the order of the day. 

Our crisis is not in Washington, DC. Our crisis and opportunity is in our own home and neighborhoods. If we are caring citizens, we are the solution. We can occupy compassion. We can occupy compassion in our neighborhoods. We can talk with one another about the importance of compassion and human rights being used as governing principles.

You are invited to be our guest at a Caring Citizens' Congress where it is recited weekly. The words in crimson are taken from our freedom charters and remind us of those who have gone before us and their sacrifice. 

 

The Caring Citizen Declaration

 

I am a caring citizen of the United States of America. 

I occupy compassion.

I here highly resolve that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom

- and that

government of the people, by the people, for the people,

shall not perish from the earth. 

I am a person with human rights.

I care for my own Safety and Happiness and that of others.

I am the solution to expanding life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

And for the support of this Declaration, joining caring citizens known and unknown,we

mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.
